One of my 2 meter AM rigs is this converted Air Force AM transmitter and amplifier
combination. The exciter portion is all solid state, and can be crystal controlled, with a
temperature compensated oven, or controlled frequency wise by an external signal
source. In this case the external source is the lab PTS model 040 frequency generator.

The amplifier portion is an 8122 tube by RCA with the built-in power supply will
safely generate 150 watts of AM carrier in the Amateur 2 meter AM portion of the band.

Both The exciter and the amplifier, have self contained power supplies, and there is a routing
relay system to allow low or high power operation of the system.

The exciter is a Granger Model T-949/GR, and the amplifier completes the system and is also a
Granger Model AM-4531
