I like the RCA, "Big Rig" type transmitters, as they tend to have plenty of power, and also plenty of room
to work inside the units.
My 600 meter transmitter is an RMCA model
ET-8010A CW/MCW transmitter, with a power output
rating of 200 watts. Sporting a pair of 211 triodes in the final stage. The description of the rig and some of
the accessories I built to put it back into operation.
Recently acquired is this RMCA model
AR-8503 CW/MCW receiver for low frequency work. It needed
a filament and HV supply, as per the Nilson Practical Communications Book, so I built one for it.
My High Power RCA transmitter is the
BTA-1M, I have checked it to verify operation on 160-80-40
meters. The power output settings are selectable at 500 or 1000 watts
output, and it runs on 230 and 115
volts AC, for power and lights.
