 DX-100 Number 1
This DX-100 plain model I received at the Rochester,NY Ham-Fest, I was told it worked      and only needed a couple of Knobs for the front panel and also the 12BY7 tube was missing.    It turned out the 12BY7 was out because the cathode resistor 680 ohms 1/2 watt was burned  out and the residue was shorting the cathode directly to ground. It caused the circuit to draw  such heavy current that the wax in the interstage transformer was melting out. After finding the  problem and changing the resistor, I determined that the resistor should be something on the  order of 2-5 watts in this circuit. I replaced it with a 2 watt carbon 5% and had no more  problems with it. The knobs that were on the unit were not even standard for anything, so  having some junk-box types I was able to come up with 2 complete pairs of the "Double -  Knob" configuration by drilling out the center of an old knob from a defunct piece of Military  test equip. The DX-100 was then aligned and setup for operation on 160 meters thru 10  meters and checked for power output on all bands. Using a "Bird" model 43 wattmeter power  output was 135 watts on AM and 150 watts on CW. I cleaned up the case and reinstalled the  transmitter in it.

 APACHE TX-1 Number 1
This Apache model TX-1, I received from Florida from an Amateur radio operator, not a  techie, He said the unit was working great, it wasn't. I had to remove some strange and  undocumented modifications that had been made to the unit just to get the vfo to operate. He  had removed the EL34/6CA7 modulator tubes but left all the modulator circuitry in the unit. I  think the only thing I liked about all the changes was the use of chain drive and sprockets, instead of the bands of brass/copper that came originally with the unit. This APACHE  had the  SSB adapter model SB-10 with it.

 RX-1 "MOHAWK"
This Mohawk model RX-1, I bought from a local friend in 1972 , He built it from a kit and  was the only person to own it, I knew it worked great because everytime I visited his shack I  used it, I said when you want to sell it let me know I want this receiver.

 HX-10 "MAURADER"
This Maurader model HX-10, I also bought from my friend in 1972, it has only had (2)  owners and we both have taken great care of it. A picture of the transmitter.

 HA-10 "WARRIOR"
This Warrior  model HA-10, I also bought from my friend in 1972, I've only had to replace  the 866A rectifiers in the unit since I've had it. When I did I substituted 3B28 tubes and  haven't had to change them since 1984. I use it mostly when the system is running CW.
